coffee pusher

Jessica Statz sent a link to the Illy 'Push Button House' that was
part of this year's Venice Biennale. Illy sponsor's the event and has
presence there with illycaffe. Architect Adam Kalkin designed a
shipping container to transform into a fully functioning 'home cafe'
and did it completely out of recyclable materials. The industrial
container reveals and beautifly clean white and sparkling interior.
If you're lucky enough duck to be shopping in New York this holiday
season, the illycaffe will be temporarliy installed at Time Warner center.

These great tiles we saw a year or so ago at the Kvadrat showroom
in Denmark are now in prodcution. Designed by the super talented
duo of Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec, these flexible foam fabric tiles
can be connected together to create an infinate number of designs.
They can create and/or divide space, are a means to soundproof,
and are made from sustainble fabrics to boot. See Kvadrat for
more information and great design tools for using the product.

pretty pony

These rugs from Kyle Bunting feel more like art for the floor
than your standard rug. And maybe a bit like they deserve to be
experienced with bare feet! Kyle is a Texas based artist who hand
makes all of the rugs to order.
Check out his site for more luscious patterns and additional information.

coolest water feature ever

Elizabeth Gilmore sent this great video of an artist who creates words out of water as it falls.

drink light

Stewart Haygarth is a London lighting design who created a pretty
amazing fixture out of 416 disposable wine glasses and a fluorescent
tube. It was an exhibit for the London Design Festival last month.
Check out his site here.

build it

Bjarke Ingals Group (aka BIG), a Danish architecture firm, built
this model of a proposed housing development in Copenhagen
completely out of legos. Check out this time lapse video of the
construction (via gizmodo). If only we had this much time and
well, 250,000 legos.
