luggage fairy

It's a mystery who runs "Is this your luggage" website
but they seems like pretty thoughtful. (invasive? maybe)
They collect lost luggage, photograph it and post it on
their site in hopes the owner will recognize it's contents
and retrieve the luggage.
Interesting!

Architect Peter Zumthor's immense talent was recognized
over the weekend as he became the latest Pritzker Prize
winner. Possibly a sign of the times, Zumthor is not a
celeb architect (thank goodness) but rather a more simple
man who only takes commissions he feels a connection
with. Perhaps his most well known project are the thermal
baths in Vals, Switzerland. Stunning still, 13 years later.

No one likes going to the dentist (if you do,
you're an odd bird). But this business card could
temp even the biggest dental-phobe out there.

wrap it up

Guilty of buying something cause the packaging was good
looking? The nature of what we do might contribute to
us being suckers for a pretty package.

Check out the blog Lovely Package for your fill of really
well designed products. (and yes, your kitchen countertop
needs A.P.C. olive oil.)

i think you're ready for this jelly...

Londoners Sam Bompas and Harry Parr are bringing jello back.
The two make very elaborate and decorative bespoke gelatin molds
with a computer program that translates them into 3D models ready
for use. "We know from history that jellies were once considered to
be the pinnacle of sophistication," Mr. Parr said. "They were used
as very lavish centerpieces, the way marzipan and sugar were used,
but then jelly became corrupted by children's parties."

Their imaginative molds have found their way into some of London's
top restaurants and they've even served an entire jellied Christmas
dinner. Harry is trained as an architect.
